God's Free Gift to You
"This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed;
by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn't go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again. Anyone who trusts in him is acquitted; anyone who refuses to trust him has long since been under the death sentence without knowing it. And why? Because of that person's failure to believe in the one-of-a-kind Son of God when introduced to him." John 3:16-18 (The Message)

God created you. He loves you and wants to have a relationship with you, but we all do things that displease God. This is called sin. Everyone sins, and sin separates us from God, though He continues to love us.
"For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God's glorious standard." Romans 3:23 (NLT) The Bible tells us that there is a price to pay for our sin; our punishment is death. "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23 (KJV) God loves us so much that He wants to rescue us from our sin, because no matter how “good” we try to be, we can’t work our way out of the punishment for sin. So, God sent us His Son, Jesus, to die on the cross and be the payment for our sins. This is God’s free gift to you. "God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8 (NIV) Will you accept God's free gift of salvation? ADMIT you are a sinner and ask for God’s forgiveness. "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9 (NKJV) BELIEVE that Jesus is the Son of God, died on the cross and rose from the grave, to pay for your sins. Jesus said , "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." John 14:6 (NKJV) CONFESS that you accepted God's free gift of salvation by asking for forgiveness of your sins and inviting Jesus to be Lord of your life. And knowing that He has rescued you from your sin, that you have sole faith in Jesus for your salvation. "...if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9 (NKJV) "Every one therefore who shall confess me before men, him will I also confess before my Father who is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father who is in heaven. Matthew 10:32-33 (ASV) |
